Esports Comes to Meadowhall

Association For Online Gamers is at Meadowhall between 4th and 7th April showcasing our grassroots Esports Development Programme during half-term. Come down and play FC24 or Fortnite for free between 10:00 and 19:00 every day until Sunday, and learn more about our unique and ground-breaking Development Programme aimed at 13-16 year olds.

Over 95% of children and adolescents in the UK play online video games. Our Esports Development Programme is aimed at helping young people recognise and develop their potential, as well as learn to develop self-confidence, social skills and mental resilience to cope with life’s challenges…all within a safeguarded, structured programme that’s designed to be fun, engaging, and rewarding.

Approved for the bronze, silver and gold skills section of the Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award, our Esports Development Programme is a 32-week programme which is delivered online with a 2 hour per week contact time. Every student receives a Workbook and an OG Esports jersey. Students also receive a year’s subscription to the FitGMR gamer wellbeing app – the development team behind Cloud9 Esports, one of the top esports teams in the world.

The FC24 version of our Programme is endorsed by more than 10 EFL football clubs, and in our hometown of Sheffield, UK, we are proud to be working with Sheffield Wednesday’s Owls Esports, Sheffield United Community’s Esports and EndPoint, one of the top esports teams in the UK.

To learn more about our Development Programme or to join our next intake (starting May 2024), register your interest here and a member of our OG team will be in touch.

Or come down to Meadowhall this week and come and meet us in person…and challenge our OG team to FC24 or Fortnite!
